Upcoming Library Events: Mostly Drinking

If you’ve got nothing to do after work this Tuesday, join ULU for their May happy hour at LIC Bar, on Vernon Boulevard in Long Island City, at 8pm.  They say, “New fav LIC spot with a big back yard. Might be making protest signs at this one, or just cryin in our beer.”

Perhaps Wednesdays are more your thing?  Then mosey down to the Fales Library & Special Collections, at 70 Washington Square South, next Wednesday, the 29th at 6:30, for the book launch for The Riot Grrrl Collection (which I reviewed in April).  “Join editor and archivist Lisa Darms and contributors (including Kathleen Hanna, Johanna Fateman, and Ramdasha Bikceem!) to celebrate the launch of this gorgeous book.”
